Shamara Rogers, M.A.Ed., MBA
Hello, my name is Shamara Rogers and I am the owner of Ready, Set Grow Learning Academy. I am excited that you have found us!!!
I have a dual bachelors degree from the University of Memphis. I have worked in education for over 20 years, spending part of my career working in higher education. It is my hope and prayer that we have a positive impact on every scholar that comes through our center.
I believe in education. I believe that our children can learn if placed in a safe educational environment that supports children on their individual levels. Our staff is trained in learning how to reach scholars on their level of understanding, instead of trying to bring the child up to the teachers level of teaching. This strategy helps us reach kids in their proximal learning zone promoting higher levels of thinking and learning.
It is my personal goal that our scholars are prepared for school when they graduate from our learning programs. I aim to have them ready for Kindergarten, with a focus on reading readiness and STEM Applications. Most Pre-k programs begin at 4 yrs of age. Research confirms that that increasing preschool learning by one year increases the child's success in school. Ready, Set, Grow learning leaders introduce concepts as early as possible. Our scholars move into structured academic programs at age 3.
It is my personal promise that we will strive each day to provide a lasting education for our scholars, to love them as our own and that each child will receive the individual attention that they need. As a mother of five, I understand the importance of quality education, quality care and keeping our scholars safe.
My hopes are to remove worry, fear, and anxiety that parents experience when leaving their child in childcare centers. That is one thing that no parent should have to be stressed about. Our relationship with your family should be one that creates a loving foundation, that ensures trust. It is my expectations that each one of our learning leaders establishes a positive relationship and trust with your child and your family unit.
Ready, Set, Grow has an open door policy. I encourage parents and our staff to reach out to me directly for any reason.
